• CV Data: Your CV file uploaded through the "My CV" section
• Job Offer Text: Job descriptions and offer content you extract or paste into the extension
• User Preferences: Your selected adaptation level, template choice, and other customization settings

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Authentication Tokens: JWT tokens stored locally in your browser for session management
• Usage Data: Number of CV adaptations performed, dates of usage, and plan information (free or Pro)
• Device Information: Browser type, browser version, and operating system (for compatibility purposes)
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and error logs for security and service improvement

2.3 Information from Job Listing Pages

• The extension extracts job offer text from the current webpage when you click "Extract job offer from this page"
• We do not store the URL or page title from job listing sites
• We do not access your browsing history or data from other tabs

• Service Delivery: To process CV adaptations using AI models (Claude) and generate personalized PDFs
• Authentication: To verify your identity and maintain secure access to your account
• Billing: To manage your free plan quota (3 CVs/month) and process Pro subscription payments through Stripe
• Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve extension functionality
• Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations

• OpenRouter API: Job descriptions and CV content are sent to OpenRouter to access Claude AI models for processing. OpenRouter's privacy policy applies to this data processing.
• Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe for Pro plan subscriptions. We do not store full credit card numbers.
• No Other Sharing: We do NOT sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties outside of these essential service providers.

• Local Storage: Authentication tokens are stored only in your browser's local storage (not on our servers)
• Server Storage: Your email, hashed password, CV files, and adaptation history are stored on our secure backend database
• Encryption: Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms. Communications are encrypted using HTTPS.
• Data Retention: Generated CVs are stored temporarily and can be downloaded. Account data is retained until you delete your account.

• Access: You can access your account data and download your CVs at any time
• Correction: You can update your email and account settings
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Opt-Out: You can uninstall the extension at any time to stop data collection

8. Cookies & Browser Storage

• We use browser localStorage to store your authentication token for session persistence
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics
• You can clear browser storage in your Chrome settings at any time

9. Children's Privacy

CV Adapter is not intended for individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where applicable, by providing additional notice (such as a notice on our website or in the extension).
